I'm in the process of selling our 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL (series II, number 37). This car is as original as they come - completely unmolested, it has never been repainted, reupholstered, or restored in any way, shape, or form. This car was purchased in Italy by the owner of several BMW dealerships in 1984 for his private collection. I got the car from him the first time in or around 2000 (traded a Lamborghini Miura SV for it). It then went to a New Englander who owned it for 5 or 6 years before I got my hands on it the second time. This car is a real find and I'll be sad to see it go...but alas, gotta make room. Please feel free to comment or ask any questions. I have paperwork dating back to '84 (unfortunately, the vehicle's history in Italy is somewhat of a mystery) and the car recently underwent a third-party inspection by a truly thorough mechanic in NJ who rarely gives rave reviews. This one, however, is somewhat of an exception. As far as pricing goes, I'm amazed at just how much these vehicles have appreciated. Five or six years ago it was valued at $55,000-$60,000. Now, its hovering around $80,000. I'm hoping to get $78,000 for it, but am open to offers. We can only expect (and hope) this trend continues. I can be reached via email or telephone any time.
