I am only the 4th caretaker of Frances, a 57,000 original mile 3.0CS. My prior love was a 1969 triple black convertible Camaro with a replacement big block that I treated to a LS3 6 speed swap. About 5 years ago, flying cross country, I watched the Art of Racing in the Rain and fell in love with the lead actor's E9. I did as much homework as I could to fully understand both the joy and challenges of owning such a beautiful car. Unfortunately, I only have room in the garage for one special ride at a time, so after 10 years the Camaro found a new home. I pursued a couple of E9s on BAT to no avail. And then Frances popped up. In retrospect, the last 2:00 minutes went quickly, at the time the 2:00 minute countdown seemed like an eternity! But she was mine. My wife and I flew to N Cal to pick her up and then made the 500 mile drive back to Cardiff By The Sea.
