It was produced at July 27th, 1973, with its original color white Chamoix 085. One month later, at August 27th, the car was exported to the BMW dealer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), Walter Sauermann.

Nevertheless, the car was not entitled until June 19th, 1975, by Emma Maria Sidler Balmer, based in Playa del Ingles, in San Bartoloma de Tirajana, Las Palmas, receiving the license plate number GC-2554-F

Only three units from this 3.0 CSL ?Batmobile? were entitled in Spain at that time. The other two were the chassis number 2275488 y 2275490. All three are originally white Chamoix 085.

Our ?Batmobile? was driving thru Gran Canaria until 1985, ten years after its entitlement. Then the car was boarded by its owner, a German based in Canary Islands, for Hamburg (Germany), where it was drived likely in the mid of 1986 (we keep some gasoline tickets from this date)

In September 2007 I went in touch with the person who bought it, since I was investigating about the ?Batmobiles? in order to write an article, published in the issue #34 from the Spanish classic cars? magazine ?Coches Clasicos?; and, we reached an agreement to buy it.

Once the car in Spain, it received a deep service in Barcelona, by an expert in racing cars mechanic, specially the engine but also the most important mechanical aspects.

Its original condition is noticeable. It keeps its Scheel seats in a black/red combination. Also its original, an specific for this model, three arm steering wheel. And the most important thing: its original engine with almost 40.000 kms. and matching number 2275501.

It has its aerodynamics spoiler and wings as well, specific for the ?Batmobile? model, the front airdam, the roof hoop over the rear window and the prominent three pieces rear wing over the trunk?s bonnet.
